Back to Running

A Sunday-league cut. A pop everyone on the field heard. For a lifelong runner, the MRI result — a complete ACL tear — read like a sentence.

The plan changed the story: a reconstruction matched to an endurance athlete's demands, prehab before the operation, and a rehabilitation program with testing gates instead of guesses. Every phase had a purpose, and every milestone was earned rather than assumed.

At five months, a supervised return to easy running. At ten, cleared without restriction — and trusting the knee on downhills again, which is the part no scan can measure.

Shared with the patient's written consent. Individual results vary — every recovery depends on the condition, the procedure, and the person.
